Props & Costume

In our piece we tried to keep our props and costumes very relative to our genre.

We used an iphone for the opening scene because of the way the message can be read as soon as recieved, giving us a chance to immediately set the scene with the audience.
The phone is also iconic in many other existing music videos, e.g. Jennifer Hudson -Spotlight

The artist was portrayed wearing clothes typical of lil bee's target audience, making himself more likeable. We made sure he was wearing branded clothing that can be associated with rap music. As seen below the adidas originals brand has been used for many years with rap music, meaning using adidas originals in our video easy to justify.

Other items of clothing worn in our video include: dark demin jeans, worn low; baseball cap with a flat peak; jogging bottoms; beanie hats; plain t-shirts; a superdry hoody; hi-top trainers and a long black coat for the night scenes (pictured below)

The white nikes (shown below) were picked to be lyric specific with a line in the song. Making it more realistic.

We also used sunglasses and a desert scarf which are used to not only add to his look but conceil his identity more. This makes lil bee more mysterious, and therefore more interesting,

All these items of costume are stereotypical of a rap artist and so with a low budget these items have the same effect on the audience.
