First studio shoot

The day of our first shoot was quite hectic to start off with as we needed to set up the studio, which required us to empty it completely of all equipment other than ours and to hang up a white backdrop that would roll down on to the floor for the performers to stand on.

The hardest part was setting the studio up and getting everything into place, we had various lighting effects, and we also had a crew in with us to operate the music and to strike the set in between takes.

We used two cameras on this day; we had one stationary on a tripod which would capture the entire action front on, and then a handheld camera to zoom into faces and the dancers in the dance.

As we didn’t want the video to be from all one angle and stationary as we noticed when watching previous A Level material. We spent well over four hours just going over the same take just to make sure we had the right one when we came to edit.
