'Lola Spencer- Merry Happy'
We first started filming in the studio, however after capturing and re-watching the footage we decided it looked too much like a set and unrealistic.
This is an image of the studio we used, it is our college studio;
To avoid this unnatural appearance we refilmed in a real house (laura's) which gave us different rooms for different scenarios and also made it possible for us to do outfit changes easily. We had the following scenarios:
- In the dining room ironing in pjs;
- On a beanbag in a quirky flowery dress;
- Looking into the mirror in a bright orange and white dress as if she was getting ready to go out (doing make up and etc)
- On the bed scribbling out photos of the one-time couple
The props we used were :
- NME mag
- Mobile phone
- bean bag
- make up
- photo and pen
- iron and ironing board
we thought these all added realism to the misc on scene and also the character of lola spencer, all the items are common things you'd expect to find in a young girl's home.
we have carefully considered the 'misc en scene' and used a location we think is a believable setting as a young persons home.
Hopefully we will be able to use a large part of this filming in our final film. We know must think of different scenarios to film 'lola' in as well as film her with a male character for our other storyline.
