Now we have defined the genre we are working in, I decided to do some further research into the common elements of punk music, and look for recurring trends.
I have discovered that an acid yellow colour recurrs within the punk genre - particularly with older punk bands. The Sex Pistols' 'Never Mind The Bollocks' illustrates this.
Other themes recurring throughout the genre include graffiti-style text - Alex came up with the idea of Rancid as an example.
I have decided to use these themes throughout the print work - and combine them with the band's current skull logo.
