Task Progress

So far, we have taken half of the photos required for the storyboard, filmed a section of our film, recorded half the voiceover and organised the sound.

We borrowed a still camera from the media department to take photos of what each camera shot will look like, and hopefully this will build up a sufficient outline of our film's structure. We are taking each photo on location, so we are planning on doing this immediately before filming with a video camera.

We have planned to complete the rest of the filming this weekend in our actress's house, as well as take several photos to help build our storyboard up. We will do this by renting out a video camera and a still camera from the media department.

Since we required a voiceover, we used the audio recording equipment in the control room to record it. Etienne was the voice of Rae, whilst Sabrina monitored the recording software. Since the recording equipment is mostly used by media studies students who picked to do an audio piece of coursework, we are planning on recording the voiceover in two parts. We have already recorded the first half; as soon as Etienne returns we will record the second half.

We researched thoroughly on the backing music that we wanted; we needed music that wasn't too overpowering (so our voiceover was audible) and set an appropriate mood. We eventually found a track called "Bouncing" (found on this page: http://www.freeplaymusic.com/search/category_search.php?t=v&i=2 ).

After confirming our actors, our location (actor's house) and props required (record collection), we are planning on filming the rest of our film opening over the weekend (29-30th November). We will then be able to edit together the film next week.
