Print Coursework - Existing Target Audience Research

I was able to find some general stats concerning one of today's top music magazines. This will help me in creating particular features of my magazines given that it will be aimed towards the same groups of people.

Background
Kerrang!, Emap's weekly magazine that covers music with attitude, decided to use mobile to build a deeper relationship with its readers and to generate revenues through reverse billing and ticket sales at its sister website, Aloud.com.

Target audience
Kerrang! has a weekly circulation of 70,000, and a readership of approximately 542,000.

The core target audience for Kerrang! is 15-24 year olds with a 60:40 male/female split.

Kerrang! readers are sharp, individualistic and above all fanatical about their music, buying on average 31 CD albums a year.

The readers are also immensely loyal to Kerrang! In essence the brand helps provide a group of "outsiders" with a sense of community.
