As I have decided that my magazine will be an indie magazine, I have looked at possible title's I could use for the magazine. Below are some of the ideas and the connotations they would have.
Raunch - This gives the idea of the magazine being quite grungy as it is a shortened version of the word 'raunchy'. The rest of the magazine would have to follow this rough edge feel to it, so the colour scheme I imagine would be quite dark, with the text and image following this idea too.
Boulder - This gives two connotations, the first being that the magazine is 'bolder' than the others around, and second that the magazine is 'rock' music. I think this is the best idea of the three, as it has good connotations, plus is an original idea to a magazine title.
T.I.M. (Trust In Music) - This follows the idea that magazines such as NME and Q have used, by using single letters or annotations of the full title. This allows a longer title to be used, but still have enough room to change things around it.
Overall, the title I am going to use is Boulder, as there is a good connotation to it, and it is a good base to the idea of a rock magazine.
