Throughout the course of our Media lesson, the group finalised the scripts we had each worked on. In view of the fact we decided to allocate various sections of the show to each person and edit and modify our ideas collectively when finished. We made a decision to write each part of the script informally, with wit and humour to directly appeal to the audience, and to allow for continuity throughout. Rachael and I edited the layout of the script, assigning a sport section to Joel and an outdoor broadcast to Michael. They have each created a wordily basis to their assigned sections music clips and motifs will follow. There was further work made on the theme tune of the show, recording variations of the opening jingle. We then checked over the script and Rachael and I planned out the regime for our next lesson. We plan to use the studio to begin to record our show.
The sound clips for the jingle we selected were chosen from an audio effects C.D provided by the media department. We will refer back to these effects throughout, in order to use the various background music and sound effects.

Further alterations have been made to the script, editing the language and style, often too formal and at danger of sounding scripted whilst recording. Also today, we have recorded our final opening theme tune, and started to piece the recording and sound clip together in order to establish our opening sequence. The introductory jingle and theme, is the two presenters identifying the show and times, "Wake up with Rachael and Jade every weekday morning from 4-10". We have also started to listen and choose different music clips to play as our background for the main news bulletins; taking into account the content of the news, and the effect of local media on the community we must choose an appropriate sound to accompany and enhance the style of news. For example we have a feature on the recession which may have negative value, therefore we must select a suitable tempo and beat to go behind, though this topic can be seen as 'bad' news, negative stories are still a main convention of local broadcast. They are often placed over a slow paced or even a faster beat, suitable to the style of bulletin.
