Print Coursework
For my piece of print coursework, I am going to create a music magazine front cover, contents and double page spread. To do this, I will need to research existing magazines for the type of tagline, front page photograph, other photographs, layout and text, that the magazines use. I have already started to look into magazine front covers, along with a tagline I could use. I will have to look into the sort of contents and double page spreads magazines use, as well as the photographs and text that can be used on the front cover as well as contents and double page spread.

At the moment, I am deciding between the names 'Boulder' and 'T.I.M. (Trust In Music)'. 'T.I.M.' would be good, as there are other magazines that use abbreviated words for their tagline, such as 'NME'. 'Boulder' would be a good name, as it is quite catchy, and sounds as though you're saying 'bolder', making the magazine sound as though it is bolder than the rest, making it stand out around other magazines.
My genre is Indie, so the photograph will be similar to the one on the NME cover with this blog. I am only going to use one girl, but use the white background, and make the text around it stand out. Next, I will be taking the photographs for the front cover, and then choosing which one will work best. I will also research some more magazine covers, contents and double page spread, and try to find some more fonts that would be good for the cover headlines and tagline.
