'Lola Spencer- Merry Happy'
Here are two examples of adverts for albums we discovered whilst researching what was necessary for our own; one is of Madonna, and is relevant as it promotes a female artist. The other is the Stone Roses, wish would be shown in the same sort of magazines as our own artist Lola Spencer.
To create an advertisement piece we hosted a photo shoot with our main character Lola Spencer. These are some images we took in the studio in college. Lola is wearing a few outfits to add variation to our shots. As we did previously, we used a Nikon D60 camera, provided by college. The images are examples after we edited them using photoshop, we adjusted the saturation to give them a warmer feeling. All the images were very strong and Laura gave great poses.
Below is a screen shot of one image being edited on Photoshop. We cut out Laura from this image (which is above), Laura is posing as if she is leaning on something so we want to place her next to an image on our final advert.
This is a few examples of the text used in our advert; we got the fonts from a website called 'dafont' and used them on photoshop. We changed it to pink to add colour to the print piece. Also below is images of 'play.com' and 'hmv.com' which add authenticity to our piece.
To add something to our images, we used a programme called poladroid, which made our images appear as polaroids. This gave a nostalgic value to the images and was suitably quirky for our artist.
