Due to the fact that the storyline is based upon Hannah's death, we needed to consider how we could make it look asthough Hannah was really dying. To do this we needed her face to be pale and for her eyelids to appear "droopy". We have achieved this by using make up and bringing down the saturation of the shot within Permiere Pro.
These screen grabs show the changes we have made to the clip. In our opinion, we believe that the make-up effect plus the video effect has really given the implication that Hannah is really ill and possibly dying. The mise-en-scene here is also further supported by the idea of the hospital bed which emphasises the idea that there may be a possible death.
