Filming & issues

We decided to film the line "I was sipping on a whiskey when I got the call" within Ben's kitchen because it has a breakfast bar that we believe could be very effective. Due to the lighting after college hours, it was particularly difficult to get decent looking shots. They were frequently very orange due to the lights used. We will attempt to edit these out, but it may not be entirely possible within our final created product.
For doing close ups of the glass of whiskey, we decided to use a table top sized tripod because it would allow us to get significantly closer to our object without using the zoom on the camera. This will allow us to get the full effect of the depth of field and can ensure that it is used to it's full potential. The depth of field will also make our footage look professional and direct the viewer's attention to the main focus within each shot and ensure they are not distracted by peripheral details.

We also decided to set up the camera using a standard tripod. This will allow us to get long shots and some medium close ups of Ben within the film. This variation of shot is a common feature within music videos and we would like to use this within our work - It is usually quite dull to watch one continuous shot because it does not give a lot of visual excitement, and therefore entertainment, to the piece.
