Editing Process

After capturing the footage we had shot, as a group we elected to edit and render the clip fully so that we can just piece our final film together with ease. The teen comedy genre and style of film doesn't particularly require complex effects and graphic match though we have formed an even flow to our film with smooth transistions and some video effects to improve viewing and mirror the tone of the piece- particularly the chosen merge effects, slow paced, towards the end of the film to echo the sombre tone. Continuity and pace was integral to filming and editing, so we often used speed gain and swift transition to move the narrative along.
