Scene Order-Adaptable, ideas are basic for now
1. Closing of E-mails
2. Follow STONER to classroom-double time and slow motion down to door
3. Stoner opens door, point of view shot-fiddling with fags/lighter then looks up.
4. –Pan of the room, Geek looks at him ‘Greetings!’, Stoner goes to sit down. Tracking shot of them all sat down, character traits-indirect mode of address-
5. –Typical American address shots, each character shows some form of their stereotypical/caricatured character e.g. Beauty looks at the camera and winks, Stoner plays with lighter rigs it and smiles, Class clown atypical joking, spitting chewing gum up, Weirdo looking at pencil.
6. Swing camera around to Geek talking, then we have the dialogue between various characters-call and response shots-
7. Add speech to Geek, almost a monologue, ‘Oooh visuals you can work with visuals right, I’ll just write it down-turns to board(Extreme close-up,angled downward above him)- right o.k.-glances around-...Guuuuuys, guys, there’s alot of work to do her...guys’--- Begins ‘Guys’ as the door is slowly closing, could have the camera just outside of door to capture Geek as it’s closing or the camera turns with the Geek,--whip—to the door, slowly closing.
8. Close-up backward tracking of Stoner and Clown, struggling to get tops off—flick between—Go from upper body, midriff and then trousers just drop to floor- Shots of their heads ‘This seemed so damn cool in my head’. They run past Beauty and Weirdo, set across the corridor looking over ‘Seriously guys will drop their trousers whenever possible’ (still laughs) Weirdo ‘Truuuuuuuuuue’ Beauty leans out-point of view shot- Reads what is on boxers ‘Pow...nice’
9. Shot following the back of Beauty and weirdo, Geek catches up worn out ‘where are the others, oh gosh just tell me they haven’t touched anything..I mean I get trying to have fun but—‘ (Interrupted) Beauty: ‘Let’s just say they got a head start’
10. Straight cut to Stoner and Clown looking dejected sat in the canteen, clothes just covering their crotches, awkward silence ‘Soooo...what happens now’ Other join have a giggle, Geek: ‘Ah, now the truth is UNCOVERED!-Laughs hysterically, snorts- Gimme 5’ aimed at weirdo, just stares blankly at him
11. Beauty/Weirdo/Geek sit down next to the guys. Clown props bare leg up on them, disgusted he’s brushed off. ‘Seriously what happens now’ ‘You’re half-naked what more do you want’ Beauty is mulling over idea, ‘Well..I have an idea, you wanted fun right?’ Sly looks at each other they know they’ll like the idea. Footloose kicks in, backbeat. Everyone gets up and starts to move, quick motion blur to the right leading into next scene in studio 5. Camera facing to left of door then whips to door as though one fluid motion.
12. Track and pan to show size of room, enigmatic
13. Look between everyone in one frame then run past camera into room as music is building.
14. Continuous shot of everyone going wild then as music climaxes to chorus beauty organises everyone and they all dance to chorus.
15. Geek, completely looses inhibitions and does a Napoleon dynamitesque dance! Everyone is cheering and clown begins to climb girder, tries to clap sudden realisation he has let go. Next shot is audio of a thud and everyone stops, gasps
16. Cuts to camera with clown on the floor, looking up everyone surrounding him—circle—Weirdo trying not to snigger, people asking if he’s o.k. Everyone guffaws, uncontrollable laughter. Possible shot of them helping him up.
17. Next shot is slower paced, excitement seems to have settled, they are still happy but begin to talk about the past. Queue the emotional conversation..symbolic, each look up and then at each other, hints that this is it and they will never see each other again. Possible fade.
18. Sound of photocopier, lights and visual come into shot, Geek standing over it and then moves outside of library. Sits on bench in quad—point of view—looking at papers, sifting through them he sighs. He then looks up surrounded by the others, ‘Maths right, I’ll be needing that’ snatch homework off of him. Walk off slowly, shot behind geek of him bowing his head, the guys stop ‘Come on then!’//One of them puts the homework under their arm.
19. Endings- 1. Geek smiles at camera, stands up to follow and walks towards camera to blackout.
20. Endings 2. Geek smiles at them all stands, goes to the group and as they all walk towards the camera he looks straight at it and smiles then continues to walk towards it to blackout.
