At first we decided to use the top , we edited the image on photoshop and placed it on our poster.
The image didn't look strong enough for us, so we decided to scrap this and use the second image. We added effects to try and imitate the feel of the Saw magazine, making the hand seem almost fake. The cross we cut into a sharp dagger like point, this we believe will put across a threatening feel to the poster, whilst also keeping in line with the horror theme.
We have also added some text along the bottom of the poster to make it seem more real. Looking at professional film posters, most seem to have this text displaying main characters and film directors etc, we are also planning on putting a certificate rating on it and sponsor logos to make it seem even more realistic. We have added a website for a more authentic feel as well.
