complications and resolutions

We found that after we had filmed everything we felt that we didn't have enough to work with. Due to the fact that the girl we are using had dyed her hair we could no longer just re-film things we had already done in order to improve them. We had to re-think the end slightly because of this. We decided to try to convey a passage of time and then for the two characters to see each other in the street bringing back the past feelings. We want it to seem that the female has moved on but the male (because he didn't treat her well) is suffering the effects of karma.

We also thought that the print we had decided on did not really fit with what we wanted. It was quite dark and we wanted it to give off a light, fun and friendly feeling. We looked at several ideas:

We looked at using flowers symbolising feminity and purity but we thought this was a bit too focussed on nature and wouldn't fit with the atmosphere of our artist and video.

We then decided to create our own designs using Adobe Illustrator. We found this to be incredibly effective and we were really pleased with the results. We asked several people for some audience feedback; each one was very positive towards our new designs.

The video below is just a small demonstration of how we made the swirls using Adobe Illustrator.
