As a group we have decided on creating a horror/thriller film trailer. We have looked at various trailers on the internet, and have looked how the trailers are structured and what patterns they follow. We looked at the length of the trailers, usually quite short depending on the type of trailer whether its a commerical trailer for televisison which are usually less than a minute long or a slightly longer highlight trailer which can be shown at the cinema or on the internet. From watching many trailers we realise that we have to capture the imagination of the audience by using shots and scenes that are quick in pace and quite shocking/scary/thrilling in content. Our research into the target audience shows that the age groups who watch horror and thriller films varies quite a lot. From the ages of 15 up really, however our target audience wouldn't be up the elderly ages and depending on our content we may have to start at the target audience of 18+.
