Shot Layout

Shot Layout

• As each person says one stage of the murders, a flashback is shown of the event. Eg, 1.) A young priest rejected God and looked to stop the head priest’s teachings. [Flashback] Shows a young priest ripping up his book of teachings. 2.) It was said he murdered Father Michael and looked to escape the seminary. [Flashback] Shows the lower half of a body laid horizontal with a sharp cross dripping with blood next to him. 3.) He was condemned to death within the seminary, and it was forced to close. [Flashback] Gates shutting...
• Cut to reaction shot of the three friends, using an establishing shot, within the building
• Quick shots of car stopping on the edge of the woods.
• Walking through woods, quick edits. Minimal dialogue. Atmospheric long chords.
• Reaction shot of finding the monastery and sharp cuts to action scenes.
• Very fast editing showing the changing emotions of the three friends, panic, screams. [MAIN ACTION SCENE]
• Ending with a booming noise and cut to a black screen with a title or quote slowly fading in, slower sentimental music eg, piano. Showing a fragile character crying, sat searching for help.
• Cut to one last split second scene of horror, loud booming sounds, end.
