Photoshoot.

I used the studio in college for a photoshoot. I took many photo's of a model who I believe fits the typical indie music artist. His style of hair and clothing was suitable for the type of magazine I am going to produce. I told him to wear black and white clothes, with a hint of another colour, which would create a simple, yet interesting colour scheme for my magazine front cover. I am pleased with the pictures I have taken, as they are suitable to use for the cover and for the double page spread, and even the contents page if I chose to do so.

I was inspired by NME and Q magazine and took some photographs which contained poses similar to that of the models on their magazines. Some examples are below.

I also thought of some different poses, which I thought may look effective in the magazine, for example...

I chose my favourite 7 photographs from the photoshoot and edited them using photoshop to make them look even more appealing which would atract the chosen audience. I changed the vibrance, brightness, contrast and exposure of the photographs. I also cropped some of the photographs to create a more balanced photograph, and, for some, I cut the background from the photograph which would look effective on a white background, surrounded by text on the double page spread, like on the NME example showing Lily Allen. The photographs I have edited are below.
