I have considered many images for my front cover but I have opted for this one as it shows the model having fun and fits in with the retro, youthful look I was trying to achieve. It also a bonus that the model is central on the photo as this will make it easier for me to add text around it, this leads me to researching different fonts and ideas for the text surrounding the picture. I have looked at the font on many music magazines and have researched my own, I have settled on using "Capture It" font for the name of the magazine and "Stampete" for the headlines. I have chosen these fonts as these are eyecatching but still easy to read. I have also chosen a very strong colour scheme for my cover, I have chosen red, yellow and white as I believe these are very strong colours that will catch the eye of a customer. There is quite alot of texts on my cover as I didnt want the cover to look like poster. At first I decided on the colour white for the title "The Voom!", but I realised you were unable to see the text, therefore I put a black outline on the text to resolve this issue.

Front Cover
I recognised immedialey, through researching front covers, the importance of a strong image on the front cover, it is the most noticable thing and draws customers in at first glance. I decided to photograph my friend and directed her to show the expressions and poses I wanted for my cover. I considered all aspects of the photoshoot, clothing, expressions, location and confidence as these factore effect the photos and ultimatley the magazine. The model I chose dressed both casually and sophisticated for different looks, so I could look back and choose the ones I liked best.
