Print Project- Unit 1 Photo Shoot

Front Cover Photo Shoot

For my froncover I did a photo shoot with my sister, Zara Fernandez, I did her hair and make-up and put her in an outfit I think would look suitable. I looked for a white background as I intended on cutting her out of the background and putting any that I think would be suitable. At the first shots I tried it without the flash, however, I realised that the colour of the photographs were reddish and having a very warm feel to it. I did not want this for my frontcover as I wanted it to look sharp and intense so I tried photographs with the flash on. I did some mid shots and some close ups for this.

I did a second photoshoot but in a different outfit, I did not change her make-up or her hair. This time I wanted something in the background, but I did not want anything busy as it may distract the attention of the eye somewhere alse instead of my model. I choose my room as I thought the colour of may reflect the girliness of the artist I am trying to portray.

Content Page Photo Shoot

For this photoshoot I choose a plain background again as I intended to cut him out of the background. I chowanted a male for my contents page to show that the magazine is for both genders. I choose my brother as his colour is fairly dark and most RnB and Hip-Hop arstists has this kind of colour. I put him in clothes that look as if him from the streets, at some point I added a headphone in and a basketball.I did this as the headphones represent the music and the basketball is part of the astist's characteristic that I am trying to create.

Double Page Spread Photo Shoot

I did another photo shoot with my sister but this time I wanted to make it look as if she's relaxed and at home. I made her sit at the sofa as if she was chatting to the interviewer as a friend. I put her in a different outfit from the first 2 photo shoots. I also tried to her make-up look more natural in this one and her hair too.

Logo Photo Shoot

I did some photographs of the headphones used in the photoshoot for the contents page as I thought of making my magazine its own logo to make it look more realistic. I just put it against a very plain background so it is easy to edit it.
