Print Coursework - Imaging and Construction

Since I had to design a contents and double page spread in addition to the front cover, I had to design them to suit the genre as well as I did with the front cover. I tried to maintain the grungy look throughout whilst taking into account areas that text boxes an paragraphs were going to sit. I used Adobe photoshop to create/edit any images and the general layout, and then exported the design as an image so that it could then be imported into micorosft publisher where I could add text easier. The images below show the before and after views of this

I did not really test any individual fonts. I tried to stick to 3 major font priorities named Capture, stamPete and Arial: Capture mainly for Main titles and text that required a lot of attention etc., stamPete for subheadings, headings and text that required a little emphasis and Arial for basic text and article script. Again, the more artistic of the fton styles maintain a rugged style and they fit well with the surrounding graphics. It was important to limit the number of fonts I used so as not to over complicate the document and given that a lot of my pages are dominated by graphics, I did not want to take the focus away from the text and information.
