Objectives
-Re-record some material, to gain better quality
-Find a sound clip to add to sport
26th November
Today, we worked through lunchtime and re-recorded several pieces of material, including Mike's outdoor broadcast, which we felt lacked naturalism and sounded too scripted. Joel's sport section, as it was far too lengthy and the choice of wording and language was far too formal, considering the shows friendly register.
We also decided to add a sound clip from the commentary of Lewis Hamilton winning the Formula 1 title to introduce the sport section. This sound archive immediately separates the studio talk from the sport allowing for audience focus and recognition of the sections context. By the end of lunch we had finished re-recording and we're happy with the final material.
We then began to find a clip of commentary for the Lewis Hamilton Formula 1 victory and added the sports music to the newly recorded clip. Assuring we dipped the transition between studio and clip to eliminate the harshness of the sound clip bursting on.
