I have now re-recorded the parts of my radio show that I had problems with previously. Several of the clips either had some form of interference or the way that things were being said did not make sense. For example, in one of the clips that I re-recorded, I missed out a 'the' in the sentence. It was not something that was apparant straight away and it is understandable on radio shows for the presenters to occasionally stumble but, in this case, it was definitely a problem.
The only trouble that I have now is that the two sets of clips - those recorded originally and those recorded today - sound like they have obviously been recorded at different times. As Jade Gibson - my second presenter - and I got used to the equipment, we have managed to control our voices and change them to suit the radio format. As a result, our intonation is softer on the new recordings and the older recordings don't sound right in comparison.
Using Adobe Premier, I will try and alter the sound of the original clips to try and make them sound like they were all recorded at the same time. If not, I will have to go back and rerecord the other clips with Jade Gibson.
On Monday, I plan to take out the equipment for recording my vox pops.
